Features

Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS)

Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS)

The available Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) helps 4Runner make molehills out of mountains. When taking on extreme off-road terrain, this system is designed to automatically decouple 4Runner’s sway bars as needed, helping improve wheel articulation.2 And when the terrain goes back to smooth and flat, the sway bars are designed to automatically reconnect.3

Third-Row Seating

Third-Row Seating

If you’re all about the entourage, you'll be able to accommodate up to seven with the available third-row seating on SR5 and Limited grades. The seats also have a 50/50 split capability to make room for cargo.4

Multi-Terrain Monitor

Multi-Terrain Monitor

Like an extra set of eyes on what’s around you, 4Runner’s available Multi-Terrain Monitor (MTM) helps you navigate nature’s obstacles with confidence. By using cameras placed around the SUV, you can get a better view of your surroundings on the 8-in. touchscreen display.

Blind Spot Monitor With Rear Cross-Traffic Alert

Blind Spot Monitor With Rear Cross-Traffic Alert

4Runner’s standard Blind Spot Monitor (BSM)5 with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA)6 helps you identify vehicles that might be in a blind spot. When you use your turn signal and BSM detects a vehicle, it warns you with a flashing indicator light on the appropriate outside mirror. Rear Cross-Traffic Alert provides audible and visual indicators to help warn you of approaching vehicles when you’re slowly backing out of a driveway or parking spot.

270-HP 4.0-Liter V6 Engine

270-HP 4.0-Liter V6 Engine

With 4Runner’s ability to tow up to 5000 lbs.,7 venturing into some of nature’s toughest ranges doesn’t mean you have to leave everything behind. 4Runner adheres to SAE J2807, the standard for tow ratings set by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).

(Historically, vehicle manufacturers and distributors have charged a separate fee for processing, handling and delivering vehicles to dealerships. Toyota's charge for these services is called the "Delivery, Processing and Handling" and is based on the value of the processing, handling and delivery services Toyota provides as well as Toyota's overall pricing structure and may be subject to change at any time. Toyota may make a profit on the Delivery, Processing and Handling.) The Delivery, Processing and Handling in AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, OK, SC and TX may vary. 2 The Toyota model or models shown are designed to meet most off-road driving requirements, but off-roading is inherently dangerous and may result in personal injury or vehicle damage. Toyota encourages responsible operation to help protect you, your vehicle and the environment.
3 Do not overload vehicle and properly secure roof load. See Owner’s Manual for weight limits and restrictions.
4 Cargo and load capacity limited by weight and distribution. Always properly secure cargo and cargo area.
5 Do not rely exclusively on Blind Spot Monitor. Look over shoulder and use turn signal. See Owner's Manual for limitations.
6 Do not rely exclusively on the Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Visually confirm clearance during use. See Owner’s Manual for limitations.
7 Never tow beyond a vehicle’s published towing capacities. Before towing, confirm your vehicle and trailer are compatible, hooked up and loaded properly and that you have any necessary additional equipment. The maximum you can tow depends on base curb weight plus the total weight of any cargo, occupants, and added vehicle equipment. Follow all instructions in your Owner’s Manual.
