    I'm Mike Aus, owner of Durango Motor Company. I've been in this business for over twenty five years, and there's one thing I've heard over and over again from our guests: "The single most stressful part of buying a new car is the negotiation!" Meeting our guests' needs is a priority of mine that is instilled in each of my team members, so at Durango Motor Company we removed the negotiation completely. We want you to feel comfortable and excited when purchasing your next vehicle! With that in mind, we do things differently here.

    Hi, I'm Nate.

    "Choose a job you love and you will never work a day in your life."

    Cars and trucks have always been a passion of mine. From the moment I got my first Hot Wheel, I was hooked. It was a shiny red Mustang that roared louder than all the rest of my cars combined. It never lost a race because I controlled the finish line. It was my dream car.

    I got into the car business in 2008 after spending 10 years in customer service. I have personally bought over 20 vehicles in my life and have helped thousands of people buy their dream cars, work trucks and daily commuters.  It's an adrenaline rush, an exciting and a wonderful experience for both our guests and for us. Most people, however, rate buying a car right up there with getting their teeth pulled. 

    At Durango Motor Company, we aim to change that for the better. Our whole focus is guest enthusiasm. We want to change the perception of the car buying experiences for everyone by offering them a non-commission based sales force that strives and succeeds at finding your shiny red Mustang or whichever vehicle that suits your wants and needs.     A South African native, I immigrated to the United States to become a U.S. citizen in 1978.

    I have been serving Toyota guests in the Four Corners area for the last 14 years.

    Being an avid motorcycle enthusiast year round, I ride both Harley Davidsons and BMW R1200GSA's.

    I sincerely believe that a satisfied guest is a returning guest, and I do my best to achieve a positive experience and relationship with each individual I serve.

    I'm a North Dakota native and graduate of The University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. I continued my education at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. After several years in Fashion and Beauty Public Relations, I decided to bring my marketing talents back to the family business. I've been in Durango since Durango Motor Company opened in August 2012. 

    You could say that I grew up in the car business. In fact, my father Mike Aus became a GM Technician in Bismarck, North Dakota the year I was born. I've had the unique privilege of growing up with our dealership family and seeing the ins and outs of a Best Price philosophy dealership. 

    I love living in the mountains and spend most of my free time spending time with friends, skiing at Purg, hiking or playing on the Animas River. During the fall and spring you'll find me on the soccer fields around town as a Pre-K soccer coach for Durango Parks and Rec or playing in the adult leagues. I've been lucky to get involved with many of our local non-profits, and currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Women's Resource Center

    When I leave our beautiful mountain home, I am an avid traveler and love exploring the World. If given the chance, I will likely talk your ear off about three of my favorite places: Norway, Spain and Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I bleed green and gold for my all-time favorite team, the Green Bay Packers. 

    I look forward to meeting you and working with you. The best part of my job as Marketing Director is getting to meet our guests and members of the community, while representing a company that is very near and dear to my heart!
